Michael Wallace’ s Crow Hollow

As I read Crow Hollow, I am really enjoying this historical fictional narrative with its elements of drama, human suffering, suspense, doubt and fear. I read other genres too, but I find myself drawn to historical fiction and to the classics, including books by like Bronte, Dickens, Hardy.

Human beings are complex creatures, no matter which age we live in. We do the same things over and over. We love, and work, live together, we argue, fight, make up. We struggle with feelings of inferiority, or pride. We strive for some measure of success and then we reflect on whether we have achieved our goals or whether we are drifting aimlessly. We like a measure of comfort and pleasure. We mourn those whom we have lost in our journey through this life. Those of us who live to grow older wonder whether we are satisfied or longing for days gone by. And these scenes of real life is what I see when I read the classics, yet usually without the distraction of cheap sex scenes and careless language.

Let me invite you to share with me some great classics that you have discovered. And let me share with you some timeless books that I enjoy reading over and over again.

Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy….and 61 others, all bound together in one collection called the Bible.

Enjoy these, my friend.
